Frequently Asked Questions

What is mental performance training?

Mental performance training teaches practical tools that help individuals manage pressure, build confidence, stay focused, and respond to challenges—in sport and in life. Just like physical training strengthens the body, mental training strengthens the mind to perform under pressure.

Who is mental performance coaching for?

Mental performance coaching is for:

  • Athletes - youth, high school, college, and professional.
  • Parents who want to better support their athlete emotionally and mentally.
  • Coaches looking to build a stronger team culture and leadership.
  • Teams and organizations seeking consistent performance and mental toughness.

How old do I need to be to be part of the program?

The program is open to athletes of all ages, as well as parents, coaches, and teams. Sessions and tools are tailored to fit each age group and experience level..

Do athletes need to be struggling to benefit from mental training?

No. Mental performance training is just as effective for athletes who are doing well and want to become more consistent, confident, and prepared for high-pressure situations.

What kind of sessions do you offer for parents?

Parent sessions focus on communication, expectations, emotional support, and how to help athletes navigate pressure, confidence, and setbacks—without adding stress.

How do mental performance sessions help coaches?

Coaches learn practical tools to improve leadership, communication, motivation, and team mindset. Sessions also help coaches manage pressure and create a mentally strong environment for their athletes.

Do you work with teams?

Yes. Team sessions and workshops focus on confidence, focus, emotional control, accountability, leadership, and performance under pressure. Programs can be customized for preseason, in-season, or championship preparation.

HOW IS MENTAL PERFORMANCE COACHING DIFFERENT FROM THERAPY?

Mental performance coaching focuses on skill development, performance habits, and future-focused growth. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. If therapy is needed, referrals can be provided.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is about getting to know you. We talk through your goals, challenges, and current situation so we can understand what you need and how mental performance training can best support you—in sport and in life.
From there, a clear mental training plan is created for the athlete, parent, coach, or team.

How long does it take to see results?

Results are unique to each person. You may see immediate benefits in awareness and mindset, while deeper habits and consistency build over weeks and months.

Are sessions in person or online?

Sessions are available both in person and online, allowing flexibility for individuals, families, and teams.

How often are sessions scheduled?

Session frequency varies based on goals and schedules. Most individuals meet weekly or biweekly. Teams may choose single workshops or season-long programs.

Is everything confidential?

Yes. Individual sessions are confidential. Team and group sessions follow clear confidentiality guidelines.
